PAD Day 5 – “Vegetable”

Doing my best to catch up, here’s another one for Day 5’s challenge.  Feel free to share yours in the comments, if you like.  Links are always welcome! 🙂

This life is in a state of rooting
Of drawing essence up from below
Of basking in sunshine to green the glow

It sprouts leaves and takes over the sofa
Basking in the artificial lamp of the TV
Crooks and nannies dark and seedy

Roots break through the parquet flooring
Seeds rain down on cushions and coasters
Bask in rain shaken from the bolster

Mist the lush greenery
Take in all the boxed scenery
Look up at the skylight
Pull up root for the highlight

About LVital7019

Just your normal, everyday 9-5er. An uninspiring position in an inspirational non-profit moves me to constant goof-offery; aimless, on-the-job procrastination; a crankiness that borders on psychosis; and attempting to craft something meaningful with words. Just another so-called-job inspiring someone to feats of insanity with a hint of creativity... (Insert demonic laugh HERE.) View all posts by LVital7019
